I had this grand idea to modge podge book pages to stuff. I am not really sure where this idea sprung up from. However, My failure to find an old crusty book led to me coffee staining pages. I used a bargin book I never got around to reading. ( The first couple of pages was about her husband cheating on her...I put it down about a year ago and stuffed it on my shelf). I am sure it is a great book...So it was the chosssen one.
I ment to do a few pages. I tossed all logic in the wind and over a week, I stained about 400 pages. I will have stained coffee book pages crafts for awhile. I am ok with that.
I started out with a just a simple craft one night when I couldnt sleep :
I have a bit more painting to do on the insides of the handle and I was really hoping to find a big tropical flower. After a hour in Jo Ann Fabrics I walked away with a rose. I am happy with this project. I use this tray to hold my lotions and what nots on my dresser. The paint matches the two fab 1920s paris fashion paintings i have in my room.
